I'm an aries, I like eating french toast for breakfast, my favorite movie is 'E.T.' and I quit my day job to work with wood

Having grown up in New York City, l have always been in tune with art, design, architecture and painting.  My dad was a jack of all trades - I was inspired by him and totally hooked on wood after building my first wooden project, an adirondack chair. When I moved to Austin in 2010, I had access to several private wood studios which was lucky considering there were no formal wood coops in Austin at the time. There I found the importance of working with other like-minded creatives. In 2011, I created my own studio and coop so that I could further my career and do what I love in a communal space with other great woodworkers. The shop became Edwood Studio, namesake of my late father Edward.
